Mayor Scott urges residents to apply for Maryland's Property Tax Credit
Published at : September 13, 2021
On Tuesday, Mayor Brandon Scott will hold a press conference urging city residents to apply for Maryland Homeowners Property Tax Credit.
Mayor Scott was joined by Councilwoman Odette Ramos, former Councilwoman Mary Pat Clarke, and community advocates this morning to raising awareness among Baltimore City residents about the Maryland Homeowners Property Tax Credit.
“The Homeowners Property Tax Credit will be vital in helping keep money in the pockets of legacy homeowners and low-income families in Baltimore,” said Mayor Brandon M. Scott. “I am proud to partner with Councilwoman Ramos and Councilwoman Clarke and encourage Baltimoreans to inquire about this opportunity.”
City officials are working to make sure that Baltimore’s most vulnerable homeowners apply for this credit. The city is targeting its outreach to legacy homeowners and residents who are at risk of losing their homes to tax sales.
