Singapore to enhance COVID-19 testing protocols for all travellers due to Omicron concerns
Published at : November 30, 2021
Singapore is stepping up border controls and enhancing COVID-19 testing due to Omicron concerns. Expansion of vaccinated travel lanes will be stopped, and there will be no further relaxation of social curbs. The authorities said a pre-emptive approach will help "buy time" to understand Omicron's impact. From Dec 8, all travellers entering or transiting through Singapore must have a negative PCR test within two days before arrival. They must also take an on-site PCR test upon arrival. People travelling via VTLs must take additional supervised Antigen Rapid Tests three and seven days after arrival.
