Flooring a Landlord

The plaintiff says the defendants were his tenants. He claims they damaged the wood floors so badly that they had to be replaced. He’s suing for the repair costs. The defendants claim the plaintiff inspected the floors when they moved and they were fine, but now he’s trying to sue.
