Weighted Calisthenics variations
What are the rules for pull-ups?
1. Start with straight elbows and shoulders packed
2. Pull through the whole range of motion with control and with a tight core.
3. Finish with the neck or collar bones touching the bar.
I`m using a 20lb kettlebell in this video, added to my own incredible weight of 61kg or about 135lb... i think. Get on the metric system my friends!
The variations as follows:
1. Biceps Pull up (more biceps dominant..the one in your arms)
2. Latissimus pull up (more back dominant, usually harder to perform)
3. Shoulder switch (back dominant with one side doing most of the work)
4. Smooth criminal (...as I like to call it...this one`s just overall hard and cool to look at imo)
Weighted calisthenics, also known as "street lifting," involves performing exercises like pull-ups, dips, or squats with added weight. Many athletes turn to this training method when the basics are mastered and become too easy. Yep, thats me.
Normal training is simply to easy and I have mastered everything about it there is to learn. And you can become just like me, if you buy my course for 99997.79$ - but more on that later. This is some advanced high tech stuff here.
Weighted calisthenics results in greater muscle mass than regular calisthenics, and is recommended for both strength and size gains. It's a way to bulk and produce a bigger physique, while still focusing on calisthenics exercises!
Here is a pull up progression where i go all the way to 100lbs without disgracing the good name of calisthenics:

Is weighted calisthenics safe?
Safer than Weight Lifting
Weighted Calisthenics also is much safer and easier to perform than traditional weight lifting, since all the movements are closed chain. The addition of weight is optional and the possibilities of bodyweight training are endless.
Is weighted calisthenics better than weightlifting?
Now all of this is on a very basic level - The dynamic, compound movement of calisthenics requires a great deal of strength. Plus, with the right technique, you can add enough resistance to increase muscle size and strength. However, before my lovely gym rats get their drawrs in a bunch, if your main goal is to build strength/size in one specific muscle group, weightlifting is your best choice - due to the ability to isolate singe muscle groups for exercise. In the end we all have different goals and enjoy different styles of training.
