What is metagaming? Why do people keep saying that metagaming is bad?
If you're just now starting out with D&D (or any other TTRPG to be fair), you'll probably hear the term metagaming pretty soon, if you haven't already. Maybe you've already looked it up and you still have trouble understanding exactly what it is and why it's as bad as everyone says.
That's why in this video, not only do I explain the term, but I also give specific examples that could come up in game! Based on these, I also provide a thorough explanation of how metagaming affects the game negatively, especially if you enjoy role playing and storytelling!
